The ACS550 is an adjustable frequency AC drive that achieves the ultimate in flexible motor control performance. Offering three modes of motor control: V/Hz, Sensorless Vector and Flux Vector, the ACS550 performs accurate speed and torque control of any standard squirrel cage motor.
With drives ranging from 0.75 to 550 Hp, the ACS550 series features an 'intuitively obvious' multilingual, full graphic display panel that also provides assistants to aid users in start-up, maintenance, and diagnostics. The control panel can be mounted on the cover of the drive, or remotely, and can upload, store, and download parameters. The ACS550 comes equipped with an extensive library of preprogrammed application macros that, at the touch of a button, allow rapid configuration of inputs, outputs, and parameters for specific applications to maximize convenience and minimize start-up time.

An extension to the ABB standard drives family is a series of drives specifically designed for variable torque applications such as pumps and fans. The specific design includes a powerful set of features which benefit pump and fan applications including built-in PID controllers and PFC (pump and fan control). These features, combined with pre-programmed application macros, an intuitive user interface and several assistant screens, speed up the installation, parameter setting and commissioning of the drive.
iVu Plus TG Image Sensor
The iVu Plus delivers complex inspection capabilities and unprecedented flexibility in an affordable, easy-to-apply sensor. Ethernet connectivity enables iVu Plus sensors to share inspection data directly with PLC's, PC's or other factory devices making communications and control even easier on the plant floor. The iVu Plus is also capable of storing up to 30 inspections accommodating rapid product changeover.
The new Sort Sensor allows users to train the sensor in distinguishing among as many as ten (10) patterns. Combined with Ethernet connectivity and Industrial Protocols, the new iVu Plus TG Vision sensor supports the ability to obtain results and command rapid product changeovers over TCP/IP.
iVu Plus Bar Code Reader
The iVu Plus BCR reads and optionally validates data within DataMatrix (ECC200 barcodes), several linear barcodes (e.g. Code 128), Pharmacode, and postal codes (e.g. Post Net and IMB). With the support of Ethernet connectivity and Industrial Protocols, the iVU Plus BCR also has the ability to remotely update the data used for validation from anywhere on the Ethernet network over TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP or Modbus/TCP protocols.
Rotary Inductive Sensors Detects 360 Degree Angles
Turck announces the availability of a new inductive analog sensor that provides a 360 degree angular measurement. The rotary inductive sensors utilize resistance inductive capacitance (RLC) measuring technology rather than a magnetic positioning element, resulting in a sensor that is completely immune to EMC interference.
Turck's rotary inductive sensors are IP67 rated with a temperature range -40 to 70C, making the devices perfect for measuring the angle of solar panels, wind turbines, crane position, and other outdoor applications. The sensor and its positioning element are seperate pieces, so that the positioning element may be mounted in a variety of unique ways, such as directly onto a rotating shaft, without experiencing the wear common to there types of sensors.

The Kubler by TURCK F36 encoder series’ compact size of only 36 mm with a hollow shaft diameter of up to 10 mm makes them well-suited for drive engineering and medical applications.
Phoenix Contact introduces the FL mGuard series of industrial-rated security devices. The FL mGuard products provide stateful firewall, router and VPN functionalities in a single, rugged device. The line is available in two hardware styles for industrial Ethernet: the FL mGuard RS DIN rail-mount devices and PCI card versions for integration into industrial PCs.
EUCHNER Rope Pull Switch (RPS switch) provides redundant safety contacts with monitoring contacts. The RPS switch triggers with increase (pulling) or decrease (severing) in tension of safety cable or pushing of E-stop.
